Getting Started

When setting up credentials for some accounts, you may be required to select security questions and set the answers to those questions. This article provides a method for storing both the questions and answers in Codebook.

On android

The first time you want to store a security question and it's answer, you will need to create two Customized Labels:

  1. Security Question
  2. Security Question Answer

Create Security Question Labels

  1. Go to Home > Settings > Customize Labels
  2. Tap + to add the first label (Security Question)
  3. Enter Security Question as the Label name. Leave the default settings of Plain Text and Masked off
  4. Tap the Save icon
  5. Tap + to add another label (Security Question Answer)
  6. Enter Security Question Answer as the Label name. Leave the default settings of Plain Text and Masked off
  7. Tap the Save icon

Add Security Questions and Answers

Continuing to work with the data from this tutorial, let's add a security question and answer for Dropbox.

  1. Navigate to the category Cloud Services and the Dropbox entry
  2. Tap Edit
  3. Tap (+) Add a new field
  4. Select the customized Label Security Question
  5. Enter the security question that you have chosen
  6. Tap the Save icon
  7. Tap (+) Add a new field
  8. Select the customized Label Security Question Answer
  9. Enter the answer to the security question
  10. Tap the Save icon
